Steps Detector app for iPhone and iPad

Steps Detector is an application designed for blind or visually impaired people.

PLEASE NOTE: StepsDetector does not measure distances directly and therefore may not be reliable, so DO NOT EXCLUSIVELY RELY ON IT TO MOVE.

The devices with multiple rear cameras allow to evaluate the distance of the objects, StepsDetector signals the high variations of distance that are associated with non-smooth surfaces (objects) with a more acute vibration if the detection concerns an obstacle and softer if it concerns a sinking.

The change in color also contributes to the determination.

Swipe up or down to increase or decrease sensitivity.

If your device is not equipped with a multiple rear camera it will vibrate in the presence of color variations and the type of vibration will depend on the position of the variation, but the detection will be much less reliable.
